I can recommend good home-style cooking
Good traditional food and kider friendly
Good food, friendly service .. ..
The beer and the food taste very good. The service is great
Is it normal that I don't have to eat half a meal or is it because of the food?
Nice, but quite small
Great food! Very tasty, but not entirely honest staff. After a friendly conversation with the landlord, we decided to buy 2 more wines (free wines) and got them too. However, one of the two bottles was unsealed. When we got home we noticed that cheaper alcohol was bottled in one of the two bottles and we shot € 30 in the wind. Pity! It was actually a nice evening. Still all the best, but don't do it anymore, only scares guests.
When I made the table reservation by phone, I spoke to the rustic Bavarian innkeeper who was missing any trace of it.On the online map, I chose the boiled plate meat and my colleague decided on the spicy gypsy schnitzel, but in reality there was a smaller menu where exactly these dishes were missing. I opted for the sliced pork fillet with pepper cream sauce. The meat was too thin for my terms and thus dead-fried. Also the portion size was very clear for € 15.90. Also the waiting time of the few other guests for one Sausage salad was 37 min. Not too short either: it was a shame about the beautiful view, because it was blocked by a rotten corona ship victim. Too bad.
Best inn in all of Bavaria. Top food. Very friendly host. I can only recommend it.
We were late and asked if we could still get something to eat. Answer was yes. So sat down and ordered the knuckle (he) and the cutlet (she). The service took about 25 minutes which was clearly good considering the freshness! I've never had a better knuckle and the price was extremely fair. Together with three beers and three short ones we paid € 50. I would like to give more stars because the landlord was very dog-friendly. But I hope that this rating is worth more than 5 stars. Always my pleasure!
It says that the restaurant is open from 11 till 22, but when we came it appeared to be closed from 12 to 17 on weekdays. Update the info
Delicious Bavarian food! Friendly and humorous host. A bit old locally.
Excellent service and amazing food, Apfelstrudel was perfect, so if you visit this restaurant, you must try it!!!
the restaurant is by the river and have a view of the oberhaus
Fast and friendly service, food very good and prices for a tourist humane, happy to come back 😎🌞
One last Bavarian Käsespätzle before crossing the border... The terrace has a good view over the Danube with (when we visited) no gigantic cruise ships blocking the view. We were trying to see the kayakers/canoe people from the TID from the shore and we did see a few paddlers. The Käsespätzle was very good and service friendly. Toilets are clean. It's not wheelchair accessible to my knowledge.
The food (currywurst and fries) was good, the beer was fine, and the service was (seemingly) friendly. But despite signs saying cards are welcome, I was not allowed to pay a 14 euro bill with Visa, and I was shortchanged to the tune of 4 euros when I paid in cash, so that made the end of the experience far less pleasant than the beginning.
Excellent service and amazing food! We came very late when kitchen almost closed and they made us the best steaks we have had on our vacation. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food.
On 01.06.2019 I have a knuckle with dumplings (9.90 €), and my wife plate meat (9.90 €), and both was "Sauguad" who likes the knuckle fresh from the grill should from 11:30 to the table!
Service was awfull. The server was ignoring us, he didn't served us.
Cosy place with nice and calm atmosphere.
Very good food ... unfortunately only a waiter for the whole house. Nevertheless fast and friendly ...
My husband was super satisfied with his knuckle, bread reordered and until he had got it half ante, my suckling pig was pretty dry and no crispy skin, waitress was nice but alone and overwhelmed at lunchtime, not particularly
A really friendly place, the Bavarian sausage was also fine. We arrived a little earlier than the opening hours would have allowed, but were nevertheless welcome and served.
Ordered dish which stated it comes with side of potato rosti. Dish was served with spetzel, contains nil potato. Asked waiter where potato rosti is and told not his problem. You know you have just been done at a tourist trap when you are treated this way. He even pressured us for a tip when we were leaving.
Fast, friendly service! Remaining cellar vault. Sauerbraten delicious and inexpensive!
Very friendly and delicious food, highly recommended 😋
The people who work there are really nice and welcoming. The location is excellent and has good views on the Danube directly from the small patio. I was surprised by the good and most importantly very authentic german food. They offer special seasonal meals that constantly change and also have a wide selection of different beers that are worth trying and also a couple of bavarian desserts in combination with a cup of coffee for a really good price.
Great Bavarian food and a large selection of beer! Service is very nice. So far, locals have always been encountered. Passauer Organpfandl is highly recommended!
Small but very good
Very nice terrace, solid food for a lunch table. The knuckle from the next table smells wonderful and invites you to come back. Price / performance ratio is right.
